1. Keep the area infected with acne clean but don’t scrub too hard to cause more irritation.2. Avoid using oil based make-up, cleansing cream and moisturizers as the oil is usually from fatty acids, which are intended to keep the skin soft but can cause breakouts of spots.3. Don’t squeeze pimples or whiteheads. A pimple is an inflammation and squeezing may increase the redness and cause an infection. Squeezing a whitehead can break the skin, spilling the contents onto the skin and ending in a pimple. You can however squeeze a pimple with a head of yellow pus. Do this gently with a little pressure. Once the pus is out then the pimple will heal more quickly.
